Lesson Plan

Ms.Sheela and I  shared our learnings from TTF with our teachers. They also started to implement their learnings in the classroom. We used to conduct Circle time for them and follow Ground Rules . 

                                                                   Ground Rules for Teachers

---> Be punctual – come on time after break, finish discussions on time.

---> Accept others views without being judgemental.

---> Listen and wait for your turn to speak.

---> Try to stick to the point.

---> Be a responsible participant.

 

Our teachers had doubts in how to write new lesson plan. We had a session with our teachers and cleared their doubts. We conducted an activity which gave them a thorough understanding of ABC.

Group Activities

  I tried out different strategies and formats of groups like Numbering, Colours, Animals,  Circle, Twos to Fours, Three Ring Circus, Think, Pair and Share. Children enjoyed learning in groups. They took active participation in group discussions. Initially I had a lot of difficulties in class control while doing group work. Then I remembered about Ground Rules that we followed in TTF. My children and I framed Ground Rules that should be followed in the classroom. It worked out very well.

Class Room Ground Rules

We will follow the rules given below

    ---->We will listen to our teachers’ instructions.

    ---->We will raise our hand and wait for our turn.

     ---->We will throw waste papers in the dustbin.

 

    ---->We will talk in soft voice and not scream.

    ---->We will not run or slide in the classroom. Instead we will walk.

    ---->We will not leave our class without our teachers’ permission.
